Scripture tells us the preaching of the Cross IS THE POWER OF GOD. So just singing those words yes is heart warming as the tune also is enduring, but until I see someone speak the name of Jesus over our ungodly schools and actually see evidence that some instant transformation has taken place, is no different than the WOF speaking healing or prosperity over someone without seeing instant results is leading people astray. I believe Jesus came to save individual souls. And speaking Jesus over someone will not save a soul . Preaching The Cross, where God the Father and the Holy Spirit are all working together is where the POWER IS.

i. So, the Father and the Son (the Son is known here as the Word) are equally God, yet distinct in their Person. The Father is not the Son, and the Son is not the Father. Yet they are equally God, with God the Holy Spirit making one God in three Persons.

Below are several Sunday School song lyrics, some with tunes in music files. Many of these have been graciously donated by other teachers. For more information, read the *Disclaimer. Questions? Read my song page FAQ.

Don't forget hand motions!  If you can't make them up, have the kids invent some themselves.

I do have a book I use to learn the songs, which comes with a recording, as well as melody line sheet music (and guitar chords). It is called Wee Sing Bible Songs and is available through Amazon.com or Christian Book Distributors. I have not done an exhaustive study of recordings or books, so there may be a lot of other great resources.

This set includes a 64-page illustrated book with complete lyrics, and 63 inspirational songs and Bible verses. You'll find favorites like: "Jesus Loves Me," "Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam," "This Little Light of Mine," "The B-I-B-L-E," "Father Abraham," "He's God the Whole World," "I'm in the Lord's Army," "Rejoice in the Lord Always," and many more! Recommended for ages 5 to 10.

If it's not up here, probably not. But you're still welcome to run it by me. First, try going to www.google.com, type in the phrase you remember, and surround that phrase with quotation marks. You might come up with it. If not, try narrowing the phrase down a bit in case someone else remembers it differently.

When I think of singing Sunday school songs and kids church songs, I'm reminded of 2 Samuel 6 where we read about how David "danced before the Lord with all his might." How often have you walked into a children's worship song with actions that has them jumping and praising with all of their might? I think there's no better picture of how we were all meant to praise and worship our King.

If you want the kids in children's worship to praise the Lord with the same kind of energy that David had, it really helps to have some upbeat worship songs! There are quiet moments though, where you may just want to slow things down with a Sunday school song like the classic children's hymn "Jesus Loves Me".

This list of 35 Sunday school songs includes some well known favorites (Jesus Loves Me) as well as modern hits (Way Maker, Good Good Father). We've also tried to include videos, lyrics, and hand motions (where available) for most of these Sunday school songs as well. So no matter what type of children's church songs you're looking for, hopefully this list makes it easy for you to find the perfect praise and worship song.

Note : I will try my best to add more interesting information and backgrounds to many of the popular Christian music. Do bear with me if I'm taking longer than expected to constantly update this website. Though I wish I can spend more time on this site, but there are so many tasks and distraction that demand my attention. But I guarantee that as much as possible, I will spend more time working on this Christian music website and make it one of the best resource for every Christian hymn lover.

Well, the truckstop's warm and friendlyAnd the coffee keeps me upAnd the waitress there would like to waste my timeBut I'll have to pass it byAs it's down the road I flyJust a racin' with that pocket watch of mine

Once I was happy and I had a good wifeI had enough money to last me for lifeI met with a gal and we went on a spreeShe taught me to smoke and drink whiskeyWrite on the cross at the head of my graveFor women and whiskey, here lies a poor slaveTake warning, dear strangers, take warning, dear friendsThen write in big letters these words at the end

Don't you know I had a dream last night, that you were here with meLyin' by my side so soft and warmAnd we talked a while and shared a smile, then we shared the dawnBut when I woke up, ah my dream, it was gone

Don't you know I had a dream last night, and you were here with meLyin' by my side so soft and warmAnd you said that you'd thought it over, you said that you were comin' homeBut when I woke up, ah my dream, it was gone

To tease 'em, and thrill 'em, to torture and kill 'em,Is her delight, they say,I saw her at the seashore with a great big pan,There was Hannah pouring water on a drowning man,She's Hard Hearted Hannah, the vamp of Savannah, GA!

Like the north wind whistlin' down the skyI've got a song, I've got a songLike the whippoorwill and the baby's cryI've got a song, I've got a songAnd I carry it with me and I sing it loudIf it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proudMovin' me down the highwayRollin' me down the highwayMovin' ahead so life wont pass me by

Now here I am with my head in the sandStanding on the broad highway will you give a rideTo a lonesome boy who missed the train last nightI went in town for one last roundAnd I gambled my ticket awayAnd the big steel rail won't carry me home to the one I love

See him grin down at you peopleI guess you don't know what his laughter's fromBut if you spend enough time on the roadMaybe you'd find outBecause the sun goes round in an endless circleNever knowin' the reason whyStill there's something in the path that it traces round the skyIt's like a circle with no endingBut it's a race we all must runAnd it's the same bein' a rich man or a bum

I shan't forget the nightWhen I fell behind the fightWith a bullet where my belt plate should a' beenI was chokin' mad with thirstAn' the man that spied me firstWas our good old grinnin', gruntin' Gunga Din

Tell me, what do people doWhen there ain't nothin' to do? When there's nobody else around to doNothin' with or toHave you ever been in that position in a small town motel roomWhere the diners all close at nineAnd the trucks keep a rollin' byAnd you just can't get to sleepEven though there's nothin' on your mind? Tell me what do people sayWhen there ain't nothin' to say? When there's nobody else around to help you pass the time of dayHave you ever stared at the ceilingTill you thought you'd lose your mindLooked for a wall that you could climbStill you just can't get to sleepEven tho' there's nothin' on your mind?Have you ever been stuck in a small town motelLookin' all around but there ain't nothin' to seeIn a never endin' mind bendin', troublin' positionSayin' why did it happen to me?Tell me, what do people doWhen there ain't nothin' to do? When there's nobody else around to doNothin' with or toHave you ever been in that position in a small town motel roomWhere the diners all close at nineAnd the trucks keep a rollin' byAnd you just can't get to sleepEven though there's nothin' on your mind?Tell me, what do people doWhen there ain't nothin' to do? When there's nobody else around to doNothin' with or toHope you never in that position in a small town motel roomWhere the diners all close at nineAnd the trucks keep a rollin' byTill you just can't get to sleepEven though there's nothin' on your mind?

Well, I should be sittin in an air conditioned office in a swivel chairTalkin some trash to the secretariesSayin, here, now mama, come on over here.Instead, Im stuck here rubbin these fenders with a ragAnd walkin home in soggy old shoesWith them steadily depressin, low down mind messinWorkin at the car wash blues

The song consists of three types of interspersed dialogue: a simulated CB conversation with CB slang, the narration of the story, and the chorus. It is about a fictional trucker rebellion that drives from the West Coast to the East Coast of the United States without stopping.[10] What they are protesting (other than the 55 mph speed limit, then recently introduced in response to the 1973 oil crisis) is shown by lines such as "we tore up all of our swindle sheets" (CB slang for log sheets used to record driving hours; the term referred to the practice of falsifying entries to show that drivers were getting proper sleep when, in reality, the drivers were driving more than the prescribed number of hours before mandatory rest) and "left 'em sittin' on the scales" (CB slang for US Department of Transportation weigh stations on Interstates and highways to verify the weight of the truck and the drivers' hours of working through log books). The song also refers to toll roads: "We just ain't a-gonna pay no toll."[11]

At the beginning of the song, Rubber Duck is the "front door" (the leader) of three semi-trailer trucks (tractor and semi-trailer) when he realizes they have a convoy. Following the Rubber Duck, Pig Pen brings up the rear (the "back door") in a "'Jimmy' haulin' hogs" (a truck powered by a two-stroke Detroit Diesel engine-A.K.A. Screamin' Jimmy, after Detroit Diesel's then-owner General Motors[13]-with a livestock semi-trailer loaded with live pigs). The two other trucks are a Kenworth pulling logs, and a cab-over Peterbilt with a "reefer" (refrigerated trailer) attached; the lyrics are unclear which one of the two the Rubber Duck was driving (though in previous songs, McCall had been established as a bread truck driver, making the Peterbilt more likely). 9af72c28ce
