My research interests stem from my experiences learning English as a second language, growing up in California with Mexican roots, and being exposed to the diverse languages in my community and the places I have visited. Click the link above to learn more.
The link above directs you to the courses I teach at the University of Arizona and California State University, Dominguez Hills.
I hold a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the U of A and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistics with a minor in English Language and Linguistics from CSUDH. I am also a proud alumnus of the Sally Casanova and Ronald E. McNair Scholar programs, and I currently serve as a California State University CDIP Fellow.
