Designing with the ADDIE Model
For this project, I used the ADDIE model to create an effective learning experience.
Analyze: I met with the SME to conduct a comprehensive needs analysis, capturing all essential information—project content, requirements, learning objectives, design specifications, and the content outline. This ensured a clear understanding of the audience, goals, and performance expectations.
Design: Using the needs analysis, I built a concise design plan outlining the learning objectives, content flow, instructional strategy, and overall structure of the training.
Develop: I then developed the course in Articulate Storyline using interactive elements such as drag and drop activities and an AI-powered Vyond video using an edited script from the SME.
Implement: The training was delivered to citizen scientists in schools and to volunteers.
Evaluate: After the training was delivered, I met with the trainer/SME for feedback on how it was received and made minor edits to improve it based on end-user suggestions.
