HEC Paris (HEC page)
I am an Associate Professor of Finance at HEC Paris (without tenure) and a Research Affiliate with CEPR. You can reach me at <lastname>@hec.fr.
I focus on social issues in finance, mainly in the areas of impact investing and labor. My work also touches on entrepreneurship, law, and competition.
Impact finance: I am a founding member of the Impact Finance Research Consortium and part of the HEC Center for Impact Finance Research. I recently held the R&Co chair for Data and Impact Investment at HEC Paris alongside Ferdinand Petra, and teach an elective on sustainable and impact finance. I am also the cofounder of impactK.ai, a free tool to optimize the integration of impact in private equity contracts, based on academic research. We are currently in beta launch -- please reach out for a demo!
Labor finance: I organize the HEC Paris Entrepreneurship Workshop in December, with Johan Hombert. I also previously organized the Labor & Finance Online Seminar (LFOS) with Tania Babina (Columbia), David Matsa (Kellogg), and Elena Simintzi (UNC).
Bio: I was previously an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and earned my PhD in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to academia, I worked in management consulting for the financial industry. I hold a BA in economics & mathematics from Yale University.
