Me
In October 2025 I will move to Bonn to start a new position as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics.
From September 2024 to September 2025 I was a postdoc at University of Bath (UK) in Daniel Loughran's group. I really enjoyed being in such a big group and in a stimulating enviroment where I learnt a lot of (maths) stuff!
I obtained my Ph.D. in May 2024 at University of L'Aquila. Before that I was a master's student at University of Pisa, where I graduated under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Bandini. You can find my thesis (on Iwasawa theory on elliptic curves) here. Going back to my bachelor's, I graduated under the supervision of Prof. Rocco Chirivì at University of Salento, in Lecce.
I am interested in algebraic number theory and in particular with its intersections with algebraic geometry. I am fascinated by the connections among different areas of mathematics and these two are my favorites! :)
Axioms
I strongly believe in Federico Ardila-Mantilla's Axioms:
Axiom 1. Mathematical talent is distributed equally among different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Axiom 2. Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
Axiom 3. Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Axiom 4. Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Moreover, I believe that research and education should be free from political interferences, as stated in the Italian Costitution:
Art. 33: L'arte e la scienza sono libere e libero ne è l'insegnamento.
(Art and science are free and free is their teaching)
