Hi! I’m Jessica,
Hi! I’m Jessica,
I’m an illustrator, artist, educator, and lifelong collector of skills, stories, and wonderfully strange things.
Relentlessly curious by nature, I’m happiest when I’m learning something new—whether that’s illustrating the incredible plants and animals of British Columbia, experimenting with a new artistic medium, or disappearing down a rabbit hole of research for Professor Mollusk.
For over a decade, I’ve taught secondary fine art and ceramics, encouraging students to embrace creativity, curiosity, and the confidence to keep learning. Those same values shape my own work and inspire everything I create.
My studio is filled with sketchbooks, plants, fossils, odd little treasures, and far too many creative projects. I believe the natural world is full of extraordinary stories waiting to be discovered, and I love creating artwork that inspires children and adults alike to slow down, ask questions, and look a little closer.
When I’m not illustrating, you’ll usually find me painting, working in ceramics, experimenting with fibre arts, reading, or enthusiastically collecting another fascinating skill or natural curiosity.
Thank you for visiting! I hope my work inspires you to stay curious, celebrate the wonderfully weird, and discover something new about the world around you.
