I am Jesseina Torres, a mother first, an artist second, a new author, and always a gamer with God gifted talent. I'm from Hartford, CT, and I work in pencil, ink, and acrylic across fantasy, Boricua culture, and motherhood. From drawing Puerto Rico graffiti and a digital pink dragon to pin-up fairies and painting the sunsets I'm proud of, I now share this same world in my debut book, "Drawn From Darkness: The Broken Canvas." MY HEART WORK

If you scroll through my work you might see a lot of late nights writing and early mornings drawing. What you won't always see is what makes all of that possible: my children. Motherhood is the greatest honor of my life, the best thing to ever happen to me, and something I love more every day. I'm deeply family-oriented, so I protect time for bedtime stories, kitchen table art sessions, and the ordinary moments that matter most. My work is important to me, my family is everything to me, and I'm grateful I get to build a creative life that holds both.

Hartford Public Library Display

This project began as a small library activity for the kids section. The library chose mine as their favorite to display.

What I thought would never be up has now been on view for 3+ years.

I am so honored to have my work displayed for so long where children come to read, learn, and dream. Seeing art in the kids section reminds them that their imagination belongs on the walls too.
