I am excited to share my new jazz record and video project 3 Tailed Bandit. Check out the single "Mystery Ship" below.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Jesse Broderick started drum lessons at age 3. At age 5, he began lessons with his first private jazz instructor, Portland based tenor sax player Peter Qualtere-Burcher. Some years later, Jesse studied under Greg Odell, founder and director of The Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers. At age 9, Jesse began 7 years of study with Portland based professional drummer, composer, and educator Corey Foster, and joined the Portland Youth Jazz Orchestra. He still plays in the top advanced jazz combo nearly 10 years later.
In Jesse's high school years, he began really working as a freelance drummer. He also became the drummer for several bands including his progressive rock trio Action Roadster, duet project JDUO, local New Orleans style brass band Couch Brass, The Chris Baum Project, The Dan Kaufman Band, and The Infatuation. He worked with Chris Brown and his All-Star Metropolitan Youth Symphony Jazz Band, and the Portland Jazz Composer's Ensemble,
Jesse currently studies with Charlie Doggett at Clackamas Community College, and is expaning his career into recording and sound engineering. He works an internship at The Hallowed Halls, where he's recorded alongside famous producers such as Billy Anderson. Outside of Jesse's studies, he enjoys composing for his solo project Sleep OK, and is currently preparing to release an original jazz album.
