One of the collaborating centers of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) formerly known as OIE, conducts a two-day Workshop under its Training Program "ProgressVet Philippines" on May 25-26, 2023.
Representatives of the CAHFS of the University of Minnesota (UMN), together with the ATI-ITCPH facilitated a series of individual and group activities to a total of 24 swine practitioners from the public and private sector.

Our research project is to investigate the prevalence rate and the zoonotic transmission of Cryptosporidium and Giardia infections between household pets and stray cats and dogs. I was the main organizer and started with sample collection, nested-PCR performing, analysis, and scientific paper manuscript writing. Also, I managed the sampling time, equipment, and process accordingly with local animal shelter officers.
