We support our families with preschool-aged children through the Raising A Reader program, designed to develop strong emergent literacy skills in young readers as they explore the joys of books. and prepare for Kindergarten. We provide literacy-based activities and books to build the child's home library as well as parent-child group connections, transition-to-school services, and connections with community resources.
Families participate in monthly parent-child group meetings either virtually or at an outdoor event where social distancing can safely occur. Families are also welcome to participate in weekly discussion forums posted in our "Parenting Pirates" Facebook group.
