Jersey Calling Bio

Jersey Calling was formed in 2002 by core members Randy Ballinger, Josh Kates, and Sean Breslin. After building a loyal cult following playing church basements, VFW Halls, and legendary punk clubs like CBGB, the band took hiatus in 2005.

In 2020, Jersey Calling regrouped with co-lead singer Victoria Maffei-Kates for their third album Punk Rock Retirement. The album proved that even after years away from the scene, the band continues to offer all the Pop-Punk hallmarks that helped build their fanbase: catchy riffs accompanied by driving bass lines and backbeats, singers whose voices resemble punk giants of the 1990s, and a passion to deliver anthem after anthem during their energetic live performances.

Jersey Calling doesn’t rest on their laurels either. They continue to refine their songwriting skills as displayed on their latest album, Parasocial Security. Immediately following the recording of this album, drummer John Vouras and guitarist Vinny Marone joined their ranks, adding to the dynamics and energy of their sound and live performances.

After opening the 2023 Adjacent Festival in Atlantic City, NJ with headliners Blink-182 and Paramore, independently grossing thousands of dollars in merchandise sales on a northeast US tour, and being chosen to open the main stage of WMMR’s MMRBQ festival in September 2024, Jersey Calling is ready to level up and partner with the best the industry has to offer.
