Jeroen Neckebrouck
Building better organizations through entrepreneurship and improved governance

Jeroen Neckebrouck is Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship at the top-ranked IESE Business School.
His work focuses on the governance of privately held firms, with a particular interest in family firms, entrepreneurship, and private equity. In his consulting work, he helps closely held firms and family firms to develop strategies to excel and sustain, and to align their governance structures and processes to execute those strategies.

His studies on these topics has been published in top-tier academic outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives, and Venture Capital, and in leading media outlets such as Forbes. His research has also received prestigious awards for its impact on business practice from the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and the BVA Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVA).

At IESE, Jeroen Neckebrouck teaches on the topics of entrepreneurship and family business in Master, MBA, EMBA and PhD programs. He received a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Vlerick Business School and Ghent University, and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Business Economics, and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

Prior to joining academia, he worked as a management consultant in the telecom industry.
