I work as a Senior Researcher (50 %) at Labour Institute for Economic Research LABORE and also as a Postdoctoral Researcher (50 %) at the University of Turku.

I'm an applied microeconomist with research interests in the following fields:

public and labor economics, especially public policy evaluation in policy domains such as labor market policy, fiscal federalism/decentralization policies, and immigration policy
political economy, e.g., questions related to political representation, political geography, polarization, and lobbying

I use large datasets and microeconometric methods to answer policy relevant questions.
