I work as a Senior Researcher (50 %) at Labour Institute for Economic Research LABORE in Helsinki, Finland and also as a Postdoctoral Researcher (50 %) at the University of Turku.Â
I'm an applied microeconomist interested in policy relevant research questions, mainly related to the following fields:
labor and public economics: I have studied, for example, the causal effects of decentralizing public employment services in Finland and the impacts of immigration policies such as labor market testing rules. More broadly, I am interested in how various public policies influence labor market outcomes.
political economy: In the area of political economy, I have explored topics such as political representation, political divides and polarization, and the political activity of firms.
