Hi, this is Jen-Shuo's Personal Page

I have defended my dissertation and am looking for job opportunities!!!

Jen-Shuo Liu has extensive experience designing AR/VR user interfaces and visualizations incorporating cognitive science knowledge to guide users in maintenance and repair tasks. He is proficient in designing VR/AR user studies to evaluate the effectiveness of interfaces and visualizations and to investigate users’ interaction and performance by analyzing gaze and motion-tracking data. He is also familiar with statistical tools, such as ANOVA and linear mixed-effects models, for analyzing AR/VR user study results.

He also has experience designing UIs for VR robot teleoperation and knows about color compensation for optical–see-through AR and projector-based AR. His work on color compensation for optical–see-through AR has been published as patents.

Jen-Shuo Liu’s work on AR/VR has resulted in multiple papers appearing in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), and ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG), and conferences such as IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR) and ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST). Part of his research is funded by the US National Science Foundation [a][b]. Due to Jen-Shuo’s expertise in AR and VR, he has also been asked to serve on the Program Committee of CHI LBW 2024 and CHI LBW 2023. He also serves as the publicity & communications chair for ISMAR 2024.

He received demo awards at NYC Media Lab Summit 2019, NYC Media Lab Summit 2018, and ICME 2015 for different AR/VR systems demonstrations. He also received the CIEE Young Author Best Thesis Award (Second Prize) for his master's thesis on projector-based AR.
