Wear proper shoes that allow you to pivot and glide without sticking to the floor can prevent ankle and knee injuries.
If your shoes are sticking to the dance floor, here are some options in my opinion:
**Dance socks worn over sneakers
**Stick-on suede soles to glued to the bottom of the sneakers
**Dance shoes/jazz shoes/dance boots with suede or leather soles
**Dance sneakers (However my ankles sometimes hurt when I wear rubber-soled dance sneakers. I personally prefer suede-soled dance sneakers. Some brands have non-suede, split-sole dance sneakers, but I can't comment on them without wearing them first.)
**Low heel ballroom shoes
