Fall Pre-K Parent Lunch
Prototype for student-created invitation to parent.
Each year, our Pre-K teachers meet with parents for fall conferences to discuss student progress and address parent concerns. After conferences, we have received feedback from parents that these conferences are not necessary. Teachers knew that parents wanted to see what their students were doing, but felt it was too early in the year to do a formal assessment. This year, we implemented a Pre-K Parent Lunch, which allowed parents to join their child in the classroom for lesson to see first-hand how the school days go and what work their child was doing. The parents and children then enjoyed lunch together in our Great Room.

Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend have created a handbook for anyone struggling with boundaries. The book is perfect for people in an uncomfortable relationship, but applicable to any type of difficult social situation, including those in the workplace.
The book includes a crucial piece for our modern world which helps people approach how to handle internet encounters and create boundaries in a digital world.
As a manager, this book helped me confidently navigate inappropriate work relationships, gossiping employees, and negative behaviors. It is a helpful tool for creating professional development and promoting growth in the workplace.
