Jennifer Deese, PhD, MPH, CCRP, is an epidemiologist with 18 years of experience in the design and conduct of both domestic and international clinical research in women's health. She is currently the Principal Investigator of multiple clinical studies investigating contraceptive effectiveness and female genital tract immunology in Latin America, Africa and the United States. Prior to completion of her PhD, she was the study director for numerous phase III and observational studies in the fields of microbicides, pre‐exposure prophylaxis for HIV and contraceptive effectiveness, including direct management of multi‐disciplinary teams to lead projects to successful conclusion. Dr. Deese is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles relevant to research and women’s health.
