Research

I am a PhD candidate in the Interdepartmental Doctoral Program in Anthropological Sciences at Stony Brook University. I am an archaeologist interested in answering questions about human evolution through the excavation and study of stone tools. Although my early training was in North American Prehistory, I am now applying my previous experience with lithic analysis and experimental archaeology to the Plio-Pleistocene archaeological record of East Africa. My dissertation research focuses on the development of new technologies during the late Acheulean in West Turkana, Kenya.
