Welcome Jenkins Jazzers! 

Jazz Band is a class that meets before 1st period, called Zero Hour. Students may enter through the outside band room door (behind the cafeteria, near the basketball courts) at 7:35 am and we will begin rehearsal at 7:40 am each morning. Because Jazz Band is a class, attendance is taken and grades are earned based on attendance and participation. 

We will begin Jazz Band on Wednesday, August 27 and students can "try it out" until the following Friday, September 5 before they fully commit to the rest of the school year. Jazz Band is open to all 7th and 8th grade Band students or those that play a jazz band instrument such as piano, bass guitar, or guitar. 6th graders who are interested in Jazz Band should talk to Ms. Shank.
