What is a Room Parent?
Room Parents work closely with the teacher and PTO to help organize classroom events and communication throughout the school year.
Duties may include:
Coordinating classroom parties (Winter, Valentines, End Of Year)
Helping with teacher-requested projects or needs
Organizing donations or volunteers when needed
Important Notes
Not all teachers request a Room Parent. Volunteers are assigned based on teacher need.
The PTO will do our best to match volunteers with a classroom where help is needed.
You may be asked to help with another classroom if you're open to it.
Time Commitment
Being a Room Parent is flexible. Most tasks are seasonal or event-based. You can communicate by email or text—whatever works for you and your teacher.
