Hello!
I'm Ellie the illustrator of Jelliefish Illustration, a freelance character designer and visual artist.
My work is inspired by myth and fantasy, where I often let my imagination run wild to create these fantastical worlds and people.
I'm currently based in the United Kingdom, with my cat Harry and and a healthy amount of books and Dnd Dice.
I use a Wacom One pen tablet and Clip Studio Paint to make my art
My process usually starts with a vague idea, before looking for references that maybe inspires a colour palette, pose, or costume.
From that I make a thumbnail or two, and use 3d pose model/s (CSP's versions) to create a pose which I sketch directly over.
Once happy with the sketch I make the linework, if I decided to use it (if not I skip to the next step).
I then make a colour rough where I experiment with colours to suit the image.
If happy with the colour, it is then full steam ahead with finalising the image and rendering.
Anything fantasy! Just lately though I've felt really inspired by the Art Nouveau style of Alphonse Mucha.
