Welcome to my teaching portfolio! I am excited to share with you my teaching experiences and personal growth from participating in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Teaching Certificate Program. This website includes my goals, philosophy, self-reflections, observations and select teaching experiences with which I was involved. Materials and evaluations are included for the teaching experiences when applicable. This program has strengthened my confidence as an educator. I was exposed to virtual and on-site learning, vaccination clinics, and preceptorship during this program. I became comfortable with self-reflection and using it as a method of improvement. My skills in providing meaningful feedback were greatly improved.
Some background about myself, I attended Pensacola Christian College where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Pharmacy in May of 2016. I then attended Union University and graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May of 2020. This past year, I served as the Post-Graduate Year One Community-Based Pharmacy resident at Bryant Family Pharmacy. My current areas of interest include academia and community pharmacy.
Teaching will continue to play a pivotal role in my life as my career goal is to become a faculty member at a College of Pharmacy. This program gave me the opportunity to advance my skills as an educator and mentor. As I transition into the next stage of my career, the experience gained from participating in this program will continue to aid me in formal teaching, precepting, or simply communicating with those with whom I come into contact.
My Curriculum Vitae (CV) is included below. Please do not hesitate to reach out for any additional information.
