Over the years, Jeff has advised many students who later became active members at the MAS community as well as in AI at large, both in academia and in industry.
A snapshot of Jeff's lab back in 2008 is in the picture below.

Other PhD students supervised by Jeff include Gilad Zlotkin (Ovo Automotive); Eithan Ephrati (Unit Ventures); Claudia Goldman (Hebrew University); Zinovi Rabinovich (Carleton University); Inon Zuckerman (Ariel University); Omer Lev (Ben-Gurion University); and Yoad Lewenberg (Google).
Jeff was the General co-Chair of the 2nd AAMAS conference back in 2003, and has continued to contribute consistently to the MAS community both as an active researcher and in managerial and committee roles.
Jeff has won the IFAAMAS Influential Paper Award, published more than 25 AAMAS and JAAMAS papers (in addition to many other papers of course), and his book "Rules of Encounter" has permanently changed the way negotiation is studied, joining themes from AI, multiagent systems, game theory, and more.
Along with his brother Bob, Jeff has developed the first Hebrew word-processor for Windows machines!
In fact, the middle letter in the name of the product is taken from his name...
Jeff is the musical manager of Starcatcher theater in Jerusalem, that is responsible for local versions of hit productions including Amelie, A Chorus Line, Rent, Chicago, and Sondheim's Into the Woods!
Jeff served both as the president of IFAAMAS (2004-2007) and as the head of the Israeli Association for AI (2008-2010).
