I am a retired school teacher. The influence of my father Jim Shortt, a noted landscape artist, gave me a love of nature and art, which I took into the field of Graphic Design for several years, until my career led into education.
Retirement has given me the opportunity to indulge my passions, which include:
Bonsai gardening - a wonderful synthesis of horticulture and design
Photography - SO much to see!
Pottery of all sorts - nothin’ like playing in the mud
Ikebana - I don’t actually create them, but they’re a GREAT outlet for my pottery
and most of all
Suiseki! What? You don’t know about it?
Hope you enjoy some of the things I do and like. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at:
