A reach of the Logan river near stokes nature center. It is a bouldery riffle with some small cascades (not enough to change the GU in my opinion). The river is running well below bankfull (1/22/2021) and is running very clear There is a potential point bar and there is a long standing medial bar (lots of vegetation) behind a very large boulder. There are very few impoundments and large woody debris. There are some eddies near the point bar. The reach parralels and then crosses the highway while also being above and below multiple dams, so it is likely constructed to fit human needs. The river sits a few dozen miles below the headwaters and is in a highly confined area within the bear river mountain range. The gradient was noticeable and flow was fast. The river is likely mediated by snow melt, precipitation, and the dams.
The river overall appears to be highly manipulated by humans and is very confined. The river is unlikely to migrate or change significantly, however it may migrate away from the point bar or move further away from the medial bar, however those both would move the stream into areas with human construction (trails and roads).
