ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Colonel (R) USAF
Jeffrey H. Fischer
BACKGROUND
Colonel (R) Jeffrey H. Fischer is a successful author of thrillers and an accomplished international security journalist. His work is featured in BBC, The Hill, Politico, Newsweek, The Kyiv Post, and others. Jeff’s novels are based on his professional experiences as a 30-year Air Force veteran, touting them, ‘As Real as Fiction Gets.’ With seven combat tours, three diplomatic tours and two pentagon tours, his fiction exposes a rare level of realism to conflict, diplomacy, espionage, and politics. Jeff’s writing style is informative and gripping, most often compared to Clive Cussler.
An exceptionally unique career path, Jeff flew both the EC-130H Compass Call and the EA-6B Prowler with considerable combat time in both airframes. He served two tours at the Pentagon, Washington D.C., and later as a senior U.S. Diplomatic Defense Official at U.S. Embassies in Austria and Kosovo. His final assignment was a senior position at NATO Special Operations Headquarters in Belgium. Jeff holds degrees from Indiana University and the National Defense University's Eisenhower School. Currently, Jeff resides in Austria with his family.
