I'm a learning and development professional and keynote speaker with more than 20 years of experience designing programs that bridge education, business, and real-world practice. I've delivered professional development to audiences of 1,500 or more, consulted with over 10 Oregon school districts, and served on Oregon's state educator training team. As a Google Certified Trainer, Apple Certified Teacher, Microsoft Innovative Educator, and 30-year Adobe practitioner, I bring both the credentials and the practical experience to design training that sticks and teach others to do the same.
It started with a question: What happens when inter-disciplinary students work together toward a single real-world outcome?
At CTEC, I coordinated a cross-program collaboration between students in Culinary Arts, Manufacturing, and Business Development to design, fabricate, and deliver custom holiday gifts for an real world client. Each program handled the portion that matched their training. The logistics were managed in partnership with industry teachers, instructional support staff, as well as liasons from the chamber of commerce. It's the kind of project that only works when someone designs the connective tissue between programs - and that's the work I find most interesting.
