Adonis has been through the trials and tribulations of becoming a man. He is a man of action and purpose and is not afraid to do what is required to reach his ambitious goals. Adonis lives the most beautiful and healthy life possible. He does not need video games to stimulate a false sense of achievement instead he executes and engineers his life to what is aligned with his purpose, goals and missions. Adonis capitalises on the great opportunities the world has to offer.
Jeffrey is a normal everyday dude. He works a 9-5 and spends most of his day scrolling on social media, profiting other people's business instead of his. He a feeble and puny person. He is a emotional being that is programmed by negativity, worthlessness, and emptiness. His lack of success thrusts him deeper into comfort, affecting his choices with mental poison, nevertheless, the fire of ambition burns within him and he is yet to release his true potential.
The Masses. The people who are handicapped by their beliefs and thinking. Those who settle. People like Jeffrey.
In my narrative "Jeffrey To Adonis," I purposefully crafted a character's path from "loser" to "winner" through two independent entities: Jeffrey and Adonis. Aligning maladaptive characteristics with Jeffrey and self-mastered and selfless characteristics with Adonis, the epitome of a winner.
The purpose of "Jeffrey To Adonis" is to depict the damaging power of comfort in men. My story delves into the depths of male comfort and how it is only when we are confronted with true desperation, sorrow, anguish, and anger that we are able to progress to the next level, stressing themes of change and transformation. I chose to write in third person to provide readers with a more detailed comparison of the two characters' personalities, habits, and thoughts.
I purposefully crafted Jeffrey to be a man who "slays creatures, conquers beasts, and overcomes giants," which immediately transforms the reader's perspective and piques their interest in what he does. But to quickly state "He is the man.... But he is a man in front of the screen behind a crusty stained computer chair," which immediately affirms the reader's perception of him and anti-climatically dismisses him. By doing this, I highlight Jeffrey's weak and feeble character qualities, identifying him as a "loser". Furthermore, it is because of these flaws in Jeffrey that he passes out and becomes aware of "the destructive noise of his addictions roaming through his brain like an engine of a ferrari," which gives consciousness to his current condition and immediately emphasises Jeffrey's turning point. The analogy of Jeffery's brain to a Ferrari helps the audience understand the devastating power of Jeffrey's mind. By including this, readers are encouraged to delve into the nuances of Jeffrey's reality.n all chapters, I have successfully utilised digital features such as visual and audio elements for example "Jeffrey's Bedroom Sound" and "Adonis's Bedroom". This effectively allows the audiences to interact with my narrative and have firsthand experience with it. These aspects contributed to the creation of a motivating tone, which ties back to the theme of change in my story.
Throughout the process of developing this website, I've developed a deeper appreciation for the ability to experiment with a variety of language and visual forms and features, as well as an understanding of the power of communication to convey a message through a multi-modal website and its ability to reach a broad audience for the purpose of sharing a message. Overall, my website consists of two projects: a creative writing and a reflection. The creative writing assignment is divided into three chapters, each with ten internal links. It has 800 words and 260 words every chapter. It was difficult for me to finalise my countless thoughts when starting "Jeffrey To Adonis," whether it'd be a guy with two internal voices - Jeffrey and Adonis - or Jeffrey finding glasses that view the truth of the world and escaping the matrix.
