All of the below shows are Jefferson County Colorado 4-H Sponsored Open shows. Anyone 8 or older (on or before 1/1/25) can participate. You do not have to be in 4-H to participate. See showbills for full details about each show.
Shows will be divided into the following age groups based on riders age as of January 1st 2025, Walk trot may be in different age groups.

11-13
14-18
19+

These shows are all run by volunteers and no one, except the judge gets paid.
We can't run successful shows without wonderful volunteers like you.

General Rules for all shows
NOTE: Each show may have it's own set of rules, these as well as those must be followed.
High Point is based on one horse/one rider combination.
Those participating in Walk/Trot classes may not participate in Canter/Lope classes with the same horse except for Gymkhana
No stallions allowed
Helmets & Boots with heels REQUIRED for all Gymkhana events.
These shows are family friendly event. Inappropriate language and actions will not be tolerated.
Show management reserves the right to change, combine, or cancel classes due to time restrictions,
weather and/or number of participants.All decisions by show management and judges are final.
Arguing with the judge or show management, bullying and/or inappropriate language could be grounds for dismissal from the show and all points will be forfeited.
No sored horses allowed - See the Horse Protection Act
Governed by the Current Colorado State 4-H Rule Book. All participants are expected to follow these rules as well as show specific rules listed here and on the showbills.
