FCS and General Projects

Project Pick-up

All projects that are not advancing to State Fair will be available for pick up on Sunday, August 7th beginning at 2:30 pm. If you are unable to pick up your projects on that day, please contact the 4-H Office as soon as possible to make other arrangements.

Any projects not picked up by Tuesday, October 4, 2022 (Achievement Night) will be discarded.

State Fair Projects

All projects that receive a "Selected for State Fair" ribbon are eligible to compete at Colorado State Fair in Pueblo. These projects will be held by the 4-H Office and will not generally be available for pick-up, please make arrangements with the 4-H Office Team if anything needs to be changed or edited in your project boards or documents.

The 4-H Office Team transports projects to Pueblo for check in and judging. We are not responsible for any project casualties due to transportation; please provide packaging if your project is fragile.

Foods and Nutrition and Cake Decorating Projects

For all food-based projects that are selected for State Fair, you must provide a new cake, plate of prepared food (bread, cookies, etc.), and/or unopened jar(s) of preserved food for judging at State Fair.

Members are responsible for packing their projects safely and appropriately: for decorated cakes, we require that the cakes are in a box with cover (including, but not limited to, cake carriers). Any reusable cake carriers will be returned to members after the 4-H Office Team has transported the projects to Pueblo. If you choose, you may transport your own projects to Pueblo - please coordinate with the 4-H Office Team.
