I am a PhD Candidate in economics at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada.
My research focuses on consumer demand, econometrics, and machine learning. I’m particularly passionate about using structural models and modern, computation-intensive algorithms to analyze large datasets and explore important economic questions. Lately, I’ve been working on methodology that leverages household-level expenditure data to study how resources are shared within households and to address intra-household distributional issues. Before starting my PhD, I also worked on econometric theory, with a focus on heteroskedasticity-robust estimation.
