About Jeferson
I’m a Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University researching how invasive species succeed in urban rivers.
Originally from Brazil, my fascination with freshwater ecosystems began in 2013, when I joined the Stream and Rivers Ecology Lab at the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
Since then, I’ve traveled across countries, collaborated with inspiring scientists, and explored the complex ecological interactions that shape life in freshwater systems.
