The Rank List of JEE Advanced 2017 will be declared by IIT Madras on June 11 (10 am) along with the result of JEE Advanced 2017. JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List is a part of the result declaration of JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced rank list 2017 consists of category-wise ranks and All India Ranks of candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam. Ranks mentioned in the result of JEE Advanced are on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in each subject for both paper 1 & paper 2. JEE Advanced 2017 rank list will only include candidates who have qualified in both Paper I and Paper II of JEE Advanced 2017.

To qualify, candidates must have secured the minimum prescribed marks in each subject, each paper and the aggregate marks. JoSAA counselling for candidates who qualify in JEE Advanced 2017 will commence from June 19. Read on to know all details about JEE Advanced rank list 2017. According to IIT officials, a total of 1.98 lakh candidates had qualified for JEE Advanced 2016, while only 1,55,948 had registered for the coveted entrance exam for admissions to IITs. Out of the total registered candidates, as many as 1,47,678 were the actual test takers of JEE Advanced 2016. There are 23 IITs (including ISM Dhanbad), which offer admissions to qualifying candidates to 10,575 undergraduate engineering seats.
JEE Advanced 2017 Rank List includes only those candidates who have appeared in both Paper I and Paper II of the entrance exam.
Candidates marks in Physics section in JEE Advanced 2017 will be calculated on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in Physics (Paper I)+marks scored in Physics (Paper II). Marks for Chemistry and Mathematics are also calculated this way only.
The aggregate marks of candidates is the sum total of marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The aggregate marks will be the basis for preparing JEE Advanced rank list 2017.
No waiting list is there for ranking/rank list.
For the purpose of ranking, if a candidate qualifies in more than one category, then he/she will be considered in all the categories he/she belongs to.
JEE Advanced 2017 rank list includes only those examinees who secure the minimum prescribed marks or more than that in each subject in each paper and also the aggregate marks. The minimum prescribed marks are different for different categories.
