Welcome to the Council's Recommendations. Here are links to a number of Outfitter's, Prop Makers, Suppliers that are considered well respected or otherwise known within the Star Wars costuming community. We also have a few select tutorials as well for some DIY projects. The places below have earned a decent reputation within the community and as such, many Star Wars costumers make them there usual go-to's for most of there needs.

The Costume Base - Star Wars Items

-Costume/Prop Outfitters; High Grade Quality. Specializes towards Imperial and Rebel items dealing with ANH TK’s, TIE Pilots, Clones/Stormtroopers and Scouts.

-Costume/Prop Outfitters; Deals in lekku and stuff for Twilek based characters
-Added this based on details from Twilek Pam’s Site. They deal in movie grade body paint, which would be ideal for Twilek or other alien races with non-human skin tones, especially if you want something that holds. Created by Fred Blau an accomplished make-up and prosthetic artist for the film/television industry. Their formulas are designed for movie and television grade standards.

Saber Companies
-These are the main saber companies many of the JCOA/International members use for their sabers. While there are a number of them, these sites have developed a decent respect in the community in general. Tis highly recommended to ask about a saber company within the community if it's not one of the more major ones used by the bulk of the Star Wars community. If only to make sure that the company is not a scammer, but also to make sure there is no ‘bad history’ with the company within the Star Wars community as a whole.
-This saber company is a great ‘starter saber’ saber company for someone just getting into the community but wants a decent relatively light combat grade saber for their costume but not ready for the potential cost investment of a higher end, more expensive heavy combat grade saber. – Lady Eris
