Instructions: The kids are told a word, They use the pop it to pop all the sounds they hear, next the kids show the number of sounds they hear with erasers, then the kids break the sounds they hear into the sound boxes (each sound box holds one sound), last they write the word and spell it.
This was a small group I pulled to work on mapping and decoding. (Correolates with Evaluation # 2)
I use this to work one on one with kids that need reading and blending practice.
