Jack Duff
PhD Student in Linguistics
UC Santa Cruz
Hello! My name is Jack Duff, or more formally, John. I'm a second-year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I research the psychology of human language, in particular the nature and time-course of semantic and pragmatic interpretation, and the peculiarities of narrative. I also study the structure and processing of Nakh-Dagestanian languages spoken in the northeastern Caucasus, especially Udi.
Recently, I was an undergraduate research assistant at UMass Amherst Linguistics, working with Lyn Frazier, Chuck Clifton, and Alice Harris.
Please feel free to contact me at first initial+last name at ucsc.edu.
