# Privacy Policy for JDS Baler

JDS Baler ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles information when you use our services.
## 1. Information Collection and Use
The JDS Baler application is designed to assist with agricultural baling operations by monitoring moisture, RPM, and bale counts via external hardware.
### a. Location Data
The App requires access to your device's Precise Location (GPS) to:
* Map the location of dropped bales.
* Track the path (trail) of the baling operation.
* Calculate hectares/area worked.
* Provide offline map functionality.
Note: Location data is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to any external servers by JDS Baler.
### b. Bluetooth Data
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to:
* Communicate with the JDS Baler ESP32 hardware.
* Receive live sensor data (Moisture, RPM, Door status).
* Send control commands (Start Net/Rope tie).
### c. Local Storage
The App saves your session data (logs, bale counts, and settings) locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data remains on your device and is used to provide you with historical records of your work.
## 2. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or farming data to third parties. All data generated by the app stays on your device unless you explicitly use the "Share" feature to send a log report via another app (e.g., Email or WhatsApp).
## 3. Third-Party Services
* Offline Maps: The app uses MapLibre/FlutterMap with local MBTiles for offline mapping. No tracking is involved in this process.
* Audio: The app uses audioplayers for audible alarms. No audio data is collected.
## 4. Permissions
To function correctly, the app will request the following permissions:
* Location: Required for GPS tracking and mapping.
* Bluetooth (Scan & Connect): Required to link with the Baler hardware.
* Storage/Media: Required if you choose to attach photos to your session notes.
## 5. Security
We value your trust in providing us your information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.
## 6. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
## 7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
