MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of J. D. Patil Sangludkar Mahavidyalaya, Daryapur is to contribute to the society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest level of excellence

HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT

The Dept. of Mathematics was established in the year 1989 with the establishment of science faculty. The noted Philanthropist of the town late Kokilabai Gawande (Dadiji) has donated substantially considering the need of science stream in the rural area.

Initially there was only pre- university class having the strength of 22 students. Prof. U.M.Patil was appointed in 1989 and joined on 23^rd July 1989 as lecturer and head of the Dept. Then the Dept. is doing steady progress to cater to the needs of the changing world. Prof. V.D.Elkar joined the college on 1^st July 1998. Prof. U.M.Patil transferred to Shri Shivaji Science College, Amravati on 30^th Nov. 2005 and Prof. V.D.Elkar became the head of the Dept. Mr. Prashant Dhongale worked in the Dept. from Feb 2005 to March 2008. as a lecturer (Contract Basis).

Recently Hon’ble Principal Dr Atul Bodkhe has provide ‘Research Centre in mathematics’ from 2022-23 onwards.
