Jdownloader Advanced Settings

Use the command jdownloader to start JDownloader. When you have just installed JDownloader, this will run the update tool to download some required files for JDownloader, else this will start JDownloader directly.

By default jdownloader will create a subdirectory for each file you download in your destination folder. To stop this behaviour go to Settings > Packagiser and untick the predefined rules as desired.

Preferences for individual sites can be found by going to Settings > Plugins. For example, by changing settings on the youtube.com plugin you could tell jdownloader to only download the audio from YouTube links.

Minimize to tray is broken on Linux. You will run in problems like a little stray window appearing. Disable the feature altogether just to not accidentally run into it. For that, just unplug the checkbox in the settings.

There are multiple ways of adding downloads: Copy the link(s), URL(s), or any other content you might want to download to your clipboard. If JDownloader is running, it should automatically detect all the files that you want to download. Click on "Add New Links" in the bottom left corner, then enter or paste the the links, URLs or anything else you might want to download from there. You can then change any settings you might like to change, like the download folder, and then press "Continue". Right-Click either in the Downloads- or LinkGrabber view and click on "Add New Links". This will show a dialogue with advanced settings just like when you click on the button in the bottom left corner.

By default, JDownloader is set up to automatically extract all commonly compressed file types, including zip, rar, and 7zip. The software saves these extracted files in a folder created for each download. But still, you can also manually configure the extraction settings based on your preferences.

Yeah I installed first via Community Application, it did not work also the connection refused. I did not change any settings just set additional the values for config and output. After that I uninstalled and installed it again with other ports etc still no connection. At last i used the commands in the Readme in github but same error

Most important with a VPN is to prevent DNS Leaks. By default, ExpressVPN takes measures to prevent your DNS from leaking, but you can alter these advanced settings. Consult the expressvpn manual. I recommend leaving DNS and Network Lock on default!

Next setup connect on boot with:

Save and close with CTRL + X and confirm with Y.

Now we are connecting on boot and trying constantly to stay connected to our vpn connection. There is also a more advanced method by randomly switching locations every hour. For that refer to: LINK HERE

Wait until the installer asks you for your MyJdownloader account settings and enter them.

Wait until everything is loaded and the terminal halts at "update progress". Terminate with CTRL + C.
