This is a memorial painting displayed at the funeral for my grandmother and legendary singer/performer, Peggi Blu. The painting is all-blue, hence her last name, and since she loved butterflies, I crafted and added some in her hair.
The portraits above and below are inspired by my text-to-color synesthesia as a Mother’s Day gift to my mom (bottom left) and Birthday gifts to two close friends (top and bottom right). All three works are based on the colors I see when reading the letters of their names.
