Health & Safety Policy

Policy Statement

Our Fence and Deck Company is committed to providing a safe and healthy working

environment for our employees, subcontractors, and clients. We aim to minimize risks to health

and safety, and we will ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and

injuries in the workplace.

Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of management to ensure that all employees are aware of the Health and

Safety Policy, and that they receive training to work safely. Management is responsible for

providing and maintaining safe equipment, and for ensuring that all employees are aware of the

hazards and risks associated with the work they carry out.

Employees are responsible for working safely and for reporting any hazards, incidents, or

near-misses to their supervisor or management. Everyone has a responsibility to ensure that

they and others are not placed at risk.

Risk Assessment

A risk assessment will be carried out for each project to identify potential hazards and risks.

Measures will be implemented to eliminate or reduce these risks as far as reasonably

practicable.

Training

All employees will receive appropriate training to work safely. This will include training on the

use of equipment and machinery, manual handling, and working at heights. We will ensure that

all training is kept up to date.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Where necessary, personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to employees and

subcontractors, and they will be required to wear it. This includes but is not limited to hard hats,

safety glasses, gloves, and safety boots.

First Aid

Adequate first aid facilities will be provided on all sites, and at least one employee on every

jobsite will hold a current first aid qualification.

Environmental Considerations

We are committed to minimizing the impact of our work on the environment. We will ensure that

waste is disposed of correctly, and we will seek to reduce our carbon footprint where possible.

Communication

The Health and Safety Policy will be communicated to all employees. It will be available on the

company's website, and copies will be available on request. We encourage everyone to report

any concerns or suggestions they may have regarding health and safety.

Review

The Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if necessary, to

ensure that it remains relevant and effective.
