"Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations."
- Dr. Mae Jemison, first African American female astronaut
Jivon Day Klarries is a passionate writer who crafts fantasy books with a wild imagination that takes people out of this world. Having studied theatre, she is able to develop excellent characters, a good plot, and a narrative flow. As a biracial and autistic lesbian, she started writing with the aim to represent the LGBT+ and people of color in the fantasy world. Recognizing that most fantasy books are about sexism or homophobia, she wants to change the narrative and be the voice of everyone who needs empowerment.
Being a veteran, Jivon possesses discipline, resilience, persistence, integrity, and the willingness to serve others. It is with the same determination that she strives to build connections to the community by advocating for the rights of LGBTQ. Her vision is all about helping others feel good, build their confidence, and work on their goals no matter their gender or skin color. Since no one needs to stay invisible or ashamed of being who they are.
As a fervid explorer, Jivon loves pets, aquariums, theatre, and traveling. She is especially insightful thanks to her adventurous nature that has seen her traverse 13 countries in her travels thus understanding different cultures and cuisines. She has embraced diversity and draws inspiration from her life experience.
