The Cock and Feather Gaming Tavern is a creation of mine that is meant to do many things.

The birth of the tavern came from the fact that many events have little planned for Friday evening. I desired to have an active activity to give people something organized to do on Friday eve after they have set their camps.

I also have a love for period games... ok... all games... but within the SCA that focus has given me a love for period games that I would like to share. It is a chance for people to learn a new aspect of medieval life.

The tavern is also meant to be a place to meet new people. I highly encourage everyone to play games with people that they have not yet had the opportunity to meet. I have noticed that many new comers to our society are drawn to the tavern and this is a great place to meet the upcoming and new generation of our kingdom.

I also love ambiance. I desire to create that chance to step back and feel like you are within the medieval era in all things that I do, and the tavern is no exception. The hall is candle lit, excitement can be felt as the tension builds to see who shall be the next winner, as the period music floats on the air. Hopefully it created that atmosphere of a medieval tavern.

And last but far from least, it is a place to have fun! That is what the SCA is all about, and I invite each and everyone of you to join us, learn new games, meet some new people, enjoy some period atmosphere, and above all else... have fun!
