When I graduated from high school, I knew that I wanted to be a Physical Education Teacher! I knew that I did not want a boring job. I wanted to have fun every day at work, while having a chance to interact with people; and the extra bonus of being physically active. My love for being active extended into college. I was a Division I Athlete, playing volleyball and throwing for track & field.
I did not know that I would also develop a passion for helping people pursue post-secondary education and training. Pursuing post-secondary education changed my life and opened many doors for me. I will continue to help others prepare for postsecondary opportunities and explore various pathways to reach their goals.
I have had the joy of working with students and adults in urban and rural areas. I have taught grades PreK-12 and I have coached volleyball, basketball, and track & field. I have also had the opportunity to own a driving school, work for non-profit organizations, and serve as a career coach at a community college.
I love teaching! I value education, and I look forward to working with you on your educational journey! Even in Health & Fitness Class, I want to help make sure that you are prepared for college and the workforce!
