Who should use this form?
• Are you requesting for media production or publication purposes any images, video, film, objects, or documents held by the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia.
• Are you requesting for research purposes any images, video, film, objects, or documents held by the Museum.
• Are you wishing to film or photograph for media production purposes any objects, items, or inside of the Museum.
Terms and Conditions
Please allow 2 weeks for processing. Once approved, the requester will be notified, an invoice will be sent requesting payment. After payment is received the Jim Crow Museum will provide access or images.
Media and research requests will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis. Access to, or images of, some items may be limited due to the condition of the artifact, availability, or other reasons.
Rights and Reproduction
The Jim Crow Museum will provide requested materials only in digital format.
The Museum does not hold licenses or copyrights for items and artifacts within the Museum, therefore media representatives and researchers are responsible for obtaining all necessary usage rights from copyright holders and releases from any parties filmed at the Museum for use in its project.
The media firm or researcher agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia and Ferris State University for any claims by third parties arising out of the use of any such images for this project.
The images requested may not be used for purposes beyond the project described in this form or sold for other uses without the prior written consent of the Museum.
Credit must be given whenever a Museum photograph is reproduced. Credit should be given to the photographer, when identified. The credit must read: "Courtesy of the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia and Ferris State University."
Permission is granted for one-time use only. Fees charged for commercial reproduction/use are in addition to the cost of photographic production and duplication services.
The reproduction rights fee must be paid for each image supplied by the Museum.
The Museum requests that, upon publication, one copy of the publication be furnished at no charge.
The media firm or researcher agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia and Ferris State University for any claims based on personal injury or property damage resulting from accident or negligence by the media firm or researcher.
