Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mahato completed MSc in Physics from NBU in 2008 and PhD in experimental surface science from IACS, Kolkata in 2015.
I am working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Physics, Visva-Bharati University. My research interest is in the area of experimental condensed matter physics more specifically in surface science or nanoscience. My main goal is to investigate the growth behaviour of self-organized nanostructures at low dimension i.e., 0D, 1D, 2D or nanodot, nanowire/nanorod and ultrathin films. I also investigate the electronic, optical and magnetic properties of these self-organized nanostructures. I am also interested to explore the III-V nitrides on highly mismatched substrate and their photoluminescence properties.
