Back in 2012, after a highly competitive selection process, I was awarded a predoctoral fellowship within the spanish national FPU program to conduct my Ph.D. studies at the Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear Physics Department of the University of Seville. I obtained my Ph.D. summa cum laude in theoretical nuclear physics in May 2016. My dissertation was focused on three strongly related topics: i) structure properties of bound and unbound three-body nuclear systems, ii) nuclear reactions induced by weakly bound three-body projectiles, iii) three-body radiative capture reactions of interest in Nuclear Astrophysics. For this work, I was awarded with the Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado to the best theses of the academic year 2015/16 of the University of Seville. I held teaching duties at an undergraduate level during my Ph.D. studies, and I complemented my academic background with two research visits at the Lawrence-Livermore National Laboratory in the USA and the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. After my defense, I held a contract at the same institution for a few months, followed by a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the ECT* (European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas) in Trento, Italy, a well-recognized international institution which hosts yearly dozens of scientific meetings and workshops. From October 2018 to January 2021, I was a full-time assistant professor (Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato RTDa) at the University of Padova, where I engaged more teaching duties including student supervision and I strengthened my international research collaborations. In September 2019, I became the PI of the project "Limits of nuclear stability: Physics beyond the driplines", funded by the University of Padova. In February 2021, I returned to the University of Seville with a research fellowship. From May 2021-2023 I was the holder of an MSCA individual fellowship. In July 2023 I become Associate Professor at the University of Seville.
Lately, I have been working on new theoretical developments to describe proton-target knockout reactions at intermediate energies and nuclear systems beyond the driplines. My research output includes many publications in high-impact journals, contributions to conferences and workshops, and invitations to give specialized seminars at different institutions. I also act regularly as a referee for peer-reviewed journals. In addition, I have participated in more than ten research projects and have attended numerous meetings and courses. I coorganized an ECT* workshop on nuclear reaction theory and have participated in several experimental proposal. I have also been involved in the organization of an online reaction seminar series during the COVID pandemic.
