About Jackie Cooke

I have worked as a classroom teacher for over 30 years. I taught every grade K-8. In addition to regular and blended classroom assignments, I have worked in school districts in the Portland Metro area as a TOSA, Title I Math Intervention Specialist and Math Coach. In the fall of 2014, I was hired as the Elementary Mathematics Facilitator for Multnomah Education Service District. Take a look at the brochure linked here to see some of the professional learning opportunities the math team at MESD collaborates on with districts in the Multnomah County area.

In the past, I have won several teaching awards, including being named Oregon’s 2007 Teacher of the Year, OCTM's Hall of Fame and Mildred Bennet Awards, and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching award in 1998. In addition, I have worked on many curriculum writing projects such as Third Grade Number Corner for the Math Learning Center, Teacher to Teacher Publication's Making Sense of Problem Solving and was a LearnZillion Dream Team member in 2013. I am a mother of three grown children and grandmother of five.
