THE JBTS BIG BAND

Founded in 2024, the JBTS Big Band—short for The Jason & Billy Tree Streets Big Band—is a bold and fast-rising jazz big band based in the Boston area. Led by drummer/saxophonist Billy McCann and trumpeter/pianist Jason Delli-Carpini, JBTS brings together an advanced mix of talented high school, college, and professional musicians dedicated to keeping big band music vibrant, modern, and alive.

With a classic big band lineup—five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones, vocalists, and a full rhythm section—JBTS delivers the unmistakable power, drive, and sophistication that only a true jazz big band can produce. The group also features flexible combo-style configurations, offering intimate small-group jazz when needed.

Their repertoire spans swinging big band standards, high-energy funk, soulful R&B, modern jazz charts, and timeless oldies, all performed with precision, style, and a fresh creative spark. The JBTS Big Band is known for its polished sound, engaging stage presence, and a deep passion for the big band tradition.

The JBTS Big Band performs throughout Boston, Massachusetts, bringing big band jazz to audiences at community events, celebrations, and special performances across the the state of Massachusetts & Beyond.
